For each earner in your family that you noted in the answer above, please fill out the next Household Earners section.
The total of the monthly incomes of each earner provided here should equal the household monthly income you provided before.
Because this earner is formally employed, please provide a bank statement that shows proof of income for the previous 3 months (preferably 6) and documentation showing income details i.e. pay slips for the previous 3 months or an official letter from their employer stating their income.
Because this earner is self-employed or runs a business, please provide bank or mobile banking statements that show proof of income for the previous 6 months and an official letter or document that provides details on the source of income and estimated monthly income.
Because this earner is self-employed, owns a business, is a petty trader or informally employed, please provide;
- Bank or Mobile money statements such as MOMO or Mpesa covering the last 6 months
- A signed official letter from your guardian or guardian's employer clearly indicating the source of income and amount earned
- Alternative; official letter from a respectable member of your community clearly outlining the guardian's employment status, source of livelihood and amount earned monthly. The member of your community has to be someone notable e.g. religious or local leader, who may act as a reference to confirm your family's financial circumstances.
NB: Please note that a letter from the applicant is not acceptable as proof of income unless the applicant themselves is the breadwinner. The official letter has to be from the guardian/employer/reference and be dated and signed and have full contact details. Please see more details on the section labeled; What to know about Supporting Documentation on the ALU Application Guide.
